Autumn season of activities

Nights are drawing in and we are well into our autumn season of activities. The Summer Scheme went really well and is history now. Our AGM last month was well attended and we are now starting to consider how we can best deliver social activities for our members in this current climate of austerity. We enjoyed an enjoyable social staff evening at Brian and Ellen Collen’s house. Many helpers, committee members as well as new volunteers had a chance to meet and greet and discuss ideas for the way forward for the coming year. The October Events Sheet is now out and will be distributed at the Witham Disco this evening. This month activities include; Pub outing, Cinema trip, usual monthly disco and the Cole Porter show ‘Kiss Me Kate’ by the Witham Amateur Operatic Society.

Thursday Group – Peter Garrett and his team run the weekly sessions of daytime fun activities. Thursdays – URC School Room, 10am to 3pm.
