A 'spring' in our step

Lots happening so far in 2014. The committee has been busy settling into their new roles and everyone is focused on how we can run a tighter ship so that we can improve on the way we do things for the Pioneers. With January & February gone, everyone hopes that the dark evenings and winter storms are a thing of the past and we can all look forward to the spring program of activities. The topic of conversation and planning at the moment is focused on the summer holiday which again takes us off to Minehead in Somerset in May and talk is about who is sharing with who and hoping for lovely weather.
Last month saw us put on another event at the Plume School which reminded us all about the ‘Keep Safe’ scheme which we helped to launch last year. Keep Safe is the ‘safe-haven’ scheme which operates in Maldon High Street which provides a place of refuge for vulnerable adults to ask for help if they feel worried at all and need to wait somewhere or phone someone to help them get home.
I hope to include some photos which were taken at the very enjoyable evening we all had at the Plume School. I thought people may like to see the photo of Cslr David Williams (our Chairman) meeting royalty last month.
