Promenaders support for Pioneers

Presentation by Trevor Enefer Chairman of Maldon Promenaders to the MaldonPioneers of Cheque for £500 as one of their two charities of 2014. Attending the yearly show is one of the highlights for the Pioneers who make for an enthusiastic audience for the performers. A huge thank you to the Promenaders for supporting us this year.
The Maldon Promenaders evolved from the Plume School Parent Teachers Association. Calling themselves ‘The Plume Players’’. They staged their first show in October 1982, in support of school funds. The show was so successful and great fun, it became an annual event.
As their children matured into adults and left the school, their links with the school faded. They renamed themselves the “Maldon Promenaders” and continued staging annual shows in support of local charities.
The Maldon Promenaders continue to be dedicated to entertaining the people of Maldon with their shows, raising much needed funds for local charities, and supporting the local community. Over the years, they have raised many thousands of pounds for local good causes.
