Making a diffference...4 Community

4 Community’ aims to deliver my extensive range of community work related skills under one umbrella, as a potential sustainable Community Support project.
Underpinning the service is a desire to deploy my Media, Illustration and Graphic skills to help promote good causes and feed into the education of people of all ages and abilities.

What could a project look like?

- Organise trips, run activities, and provide supported holidays for vulnerable groups. – Organise and support community transport.
Provide Community link between churches, schools and other voluntary sector agencies. – Campaign and work for change in tackling social issues around poverty, homelessness, food banks, drug-abuse etc. – Respond to Pastoral needs in the wider community e.g. help Pastoral visitors to visit local care homes. – Help clients access more Arts, Crafts and Music workshops, Galleries and Museums. – Harness my previously acquired Graphics Design & Media expertise to promote community projects and issues. – Work in education & schools. – Support the work of the Maldon District Community Safety Partnership such as ‘Keep Safe’. – Help vulnerable people develop self-esteem, be empowered, gain self-confidence and develop life-skills. – Engage with the Voluntary Sector organisations, including use of ICT, to improve volunteering opportunities and improving services. – Promote careers, training and independent living opportunities for people with a Learning Difficulty or Mental health issue.
